La Fonda de Cal Fuxet is a family project created by Dolors Navarro and Frederic Merino in 2001. We both had previous experience in the world of catering in the Cerdanya region but the desire to lead our own project and create our family in Dolors’ home town made us fall in love with this beautiful 18th century house in the centre of the village of Aransa.
With effort and care, the whole house was completely refurbished to become the Fonda de Cal Fuxet of present day: a typical Pyrenean house, with all the comforts to accommodate our guests and offer the best meals in our restaurant.
Nowadays, our sons, Sergi and Alex lend us a hand whenever necessary to keep the business going.
